SPRINGDALE — Helen Rice, age 89, of Springdale, Ark., passed away on June 14, 2011, in Springdale. She was born Jan. 15, 1922, in Muskogee, Okla., to the late Harry L. and Mildred E. Sanders Puryear. She was a faithful member of the Vaughn Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include one son, David Rice of Drummonds, Tenn.; one daughter, Ardythe Clark of Mounds, Okla.; six grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dane Rice.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 18 at 2 p.m. at the Vaughn Presbyterian Church. Lynn Brown and the Rev. Will Fletcher will officiate the service. Interment will follow in the Barron Cemetery in Vaughn.
Arrangements are under the direction of Callison-Lough Funeral Home of Bentonville.
