April 16, 1892 - August 19, 1961
Mrs. Flora Brown, age 69, of Smackover, died in the Doren hospital in Smackover Saturday at 1:30 p.m. Mrs. Brown was the widow of Ben S. Brown. She was born April 16, 1892 in Cochranton, Penn. Mrs. Brown was a partner in The Berg-Laney and Brown Oil Company of Smackover and she was a member of the First Methodist Church in Smackover. Survived by one daughter, Mrs. Bill Byrd of Smackover, one grandson and one granddaughter. Funeral services were held on Monday at 2:00 p.m. at the First Methodist Church in Smackover with Rev. Harold Sadler officiating. Burial was in the Arlington Cemetery in El Dorado with Hall-Young Funeral Service of El Dorado in charge. (Camden News - August 21, 1961)
