Thomas Terry Brown age 84 of El Dorado passed away Tuesday, September 22, 2020 at Hudson Memorial Nursing Home. He was born on February 9, 1936 in Dubach, Louisiana to the late Thomas Ladell Brown and Lillie Belle Lyons Brown.
Thomas was a jack of all trades. He worked for E&W Railroad for many of years. He also specialized in welding and welded all throughout his life for many people and a few businesses. Thomas was a self-taught graphic artist. He enjoyed spending time with his family. Thomas used to take his children skating every Saturday night at Trudy’s and would stay until the last kid got picked up. He loved to sing, fish, hunt, gardening, reloading bullets, collecting guns, making panoramas, bee keeping and raising muscadines. Thomas took pride in everything he did. His motto was, “Love everyone and hate no one. If you are going to do something, do it right.” His one true love was God. Thomas instilled that very deeply in his children and everyone he came in contact with.
Thomas is preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Charles Brown and one niece.
Thomas is survived by his loving wife, Louise Brown; two daughters, Connie Lowery, Terri McKinzie and her husband Keith; four grandchildren, Michelle Jones, Eddie Hardebeck, Jamie McKinzie and Roger McKinzie; four great grandchildren, Ariel Jones, Lilly Jones, Layne Hardebeck and Aubree Hardebeck; two special brothers, Melvin Brown and his wife Janis, Danny Brown and his wife Angela; one special sister; Patricia Griffin and her husband P V and one sister in law, Susie Brown.
Graveside services will be at 2:00 pm at Olive Branch Cemetery, with Melvin Brown officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Perry’s Funeral Chapels.
