Monday, July 29, 1968
Arthur B. Walker, 78, of 708 S. School St, died in a local hospital this morning following an extended illness. Born June 3, 1890 in Grand Rivers, Ky., the son of George and Edna Doom Walker, he was a retired engraver and a member of the First Baptist Church.
He is survived by the widow, Mrs. Allie Walker of the home; a daughter, Mrs. Paul (Hila Mae) Walker of Fayetteville; a stepdaughter, Mrs. W. R. Sammuels of Fort Smith; a stepson, M. L. Allred of San Diego, Calif., two brothers, the Rev. George Walker and Bailey Walker, both of Grand Rivers; five grandchildren and six great-granddaughters.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Chapel of Nelson's Funeral Home with burial in Friendship Cemetery.
