WALKER, J. Wythe - J. Wythe Walker, aged sixty—three, widely known attorney of Fayetteville, was found dead from heart disease in his room at a Kansas City hotel Saturday morning it was said in a message received by his wife while she was en route to the railroad station. Mrs. Walker had planned to join her husband in Kansas City from whence they were to go to Denver, Col. to visit their youngest son, Courtney, for the Christmas holidays. Mr. Walker was the son of the late United States Senator J.C. Walker, one of the founders of the University of Arkansas. He was a lifelong resident of Fayetteville, having attended local schools and the university until he began the study of law in his father's office. He was admitted to the bar in 1886 and was his father's partner until 1888 when he entered a partnership with his brother, Vol Walker of Fayetteville. From 1898 to 1900 Mr. Walker was prosecuting attorney of the Fourth Judicial district and a Bryan elector in 1908. He married Miss Mayme Brynes, member of a pioneer Fayetteville family. He is survived by his wife, three sons, James Brynes Walker and J. Wythe Walker, Jr. of Chicago and Courtney Walker of Denver, Col.; two brothers, Dr. Dave Walker and his partner of Fayetteville, and a sister, Miss Sue Walker, also of Fayetteville.
