SPRINGDALE — Pauline Duncan, age 94, of Springdale died April 19, 2014, at Earlene Howard Circle of Life Hospice House. She had been a recent resident of the Maples at Har-Ber Meadows in Springdale. She was born July 11, 1919, in Marble, Ark., the daughter of Andrew and Effie Boatright Dennis.

She attended Phillips Chapel Freewill Baptist Church and was a homemaker. Mrs. Duncan enjoyed quilting, reading, listening to Bluegrass music and playing the guitar with the Old Time Fiddlers Association.

She was preceded by her husband, James Duncan in 1972; and a son, Jimmy Duncan in 1967.

She is survived by one sister, Zelma McMurray of Springdale; three nephews, Elbert McMurray and his wife, Carolyn, of Springdale, Jerry McMurray and his wife, Alta, of Oklahoma City, and Larry McMurray and his wife, Joyce, of Springdale; and one niece, Shirley Pappas and her husband, George, of Venice, Fla.; and numerous great-nieces and -nephews.

Funeral services will be Thursday, April 24, 2014, at Phillips Chapel Freewill Baptist Church at 1 p.m., with the Rev. Ben Gibson officiating, under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Stuckey Cemetery.

Visitation will be Wednesday, April 23, 2014, from 4 until 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
