William Duncan, 96, Round Mountain community, died Aug. 11 at his home. Born Feb. 10, 1881, in Missouri, he was the son of Riley and Mary Elizabeth Smith Duncan and lived most of his life in the Round Mountain community. He was retired farmer and member of Round Mountain Community Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Ola Mae Johnson Duncan of the home; two sons, Norman Duncan, Norwalk, Calif., and Walter Duncan, Tupelo, Miss.; two daughters, Mrs. Harlan Pifer, Fayetteville, and Mrs. Allan Johnston, Cortez, Colo.; 14 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Moore's Chapel, Fayetteville, with the Rev. Boyd Bennett officiating. Burial will be in Goshen Cemetery under the direction of Moore's.
Pallbearers will be a grandsons, Paul Duncan, Herschel Duncan, David Duncan, Phillip Duncan, Ralph Duncan and Dean Duncan.
