ROGERS — Roland David Duncan, age 67, of Rogers, Ark., died Monday, June 9, 2014, in Rogers. He was born Jan. 31, 1947, to William Horace and Serena Mae Craft Duncan in Atascadero, Calif.
He was a member of Cross Church in Rogers and served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He retired from Conair Corporation where he was an aluminum fabricator. He also roofed houses for many years. Mr. Duncan enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, including riding bicycles with them, and was a movie buff.
He is preceded by his father, William Duncan; and also by Howard Tilford Hulsey, who married Serena Hulsey in 1953 and raised him from a young age.
He is survived by his mother, Serena Hulsey of Bentonville; one daughter, Serena Duncan of Bentonville; one brother, Darrel Duncan and his wife, Avis, of Rogers; one sister, Laura Hulsey of Bellevue, Neb.; and two grandchildren, Cruz Duncan and Kennedy Duncan.
Graveside services will be Thursday, June 12, 2014, at 10 a.m. at Elm Springs Cemetery, with the Rev. Charlie Foster officiating, under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home.
Visitation will be today, June 11, 2014, from 5 until 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
