SPRINGDALE — Elizabeth Ione Duncan, 91 a longtime resident of Springdale passed away Sunday, February 8, 2015 in Springdale. She was born February 17, 1923 in Grapevine, Texas to Rufus Moore and Pauline Reynolds Mills.

Ione was a longtime member of First United Methodist Church in Springdale and was a manager for Sears. Ione enjoyed gardening, sewing and especially crocheting.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Duncan, Sr.; two brothers, Bob Mills and Glenn Mills and their wives Betty and Bobbie. Survivors include one son, James E. Duncan, Jr. and wife Sharon K. Donnelly of Fayetteville; one daughter, Chonita I Pool and husband Campbell of Springdale; one brother, Bill Mills of Casablanca, Morocco; one sister, Jody Mills of Springdale; four grandchildren, Gwyneth Marchanti of Ellicott City, Maryland, Alman Gaspeny of Jacksonville, Florida, George Gilkey and wife Stacey of Lee's Summit, Missouri; Grant Gilkey and wife Julie of Greenwood, Missouri; seven great-grandchildren, Morgan Webb, Alex Gilkey, Lindsey Long, Jesse Gilkey Chayce Gilkey, Jake Gilkey and Anthony Marchanti.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Shiloh Nursing and Rehab and Circle of Life hospice for their care and attention of Ione.

Visitation will be Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and the family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. at Sisco Funeral Chapel of Springdale. Graveside services will be held Thursday, at 2 p.m. at Brentwood Cemetery with Chaplain Audie Long officiating. Online condolences at www.siscofuneral.com.
