DECATUR — Clinton Vernon "Dick" Austin, 83, of Decatur died July 15, 2000, at Quail Ridge Living Center in West Siloam Springs, Okla.
He was born April 15, 1917, in Decatur to Ralph Luther and Tempie M. Josephine Wilmoth Austin.
He was employed by Peterson Industries for 37 years.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Joy Ruth Austin, on Oct. 1, 1975.
Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law; Sherry Ann Johnson and Richard of Rogers and Sheryl Gaye Cherry and Jerry of Siloam Springs; three sisters, Clarice Manos of Decatur, Nadean Londagin of Gentry and Ella Lee Phillips of Gravette; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Decatur Assembly of God Church with the Rev. Don Dorsey and the Rev. Jack Austin officiating.
Burial will be in Decatur Cemetery.
Visitation, with family members present, will be from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Monday at Wasson Funeral Home of Siloam Springs.
