AUSTIN, Wallace - Wallace Austin died at his home near Decatur Monday, Sept. 28, 1914; aged 57 years. Mr. Austin had been in poor health for some years and he has gradually failed until the end came. Mr. Austin was of a large family, pioneers of Benton Co., of which there were eight children, two only of whom now survive, they being Esq. E. Austin and Postmaster W.H. Austin of Gravette. The deceased also leaves a wife and seven children, Mrs. Austin being a daughter of Mrs. M. Case of this city. The funeral was conducted Tuesday by Rev. T.P. Jones of the Baptist church and interment was made at Bethel Cemetery. The News Herald joins with the community in extending condolence to the bereaved relatives.
