May 7, 1934 - November 15, 2020
Shelby Jarvis Lewis, age 86, of Junction City, passed away Sunday, November 15, 2020 at John R. Williamson Hospice House. He was born May 7, 1934 to the late Walter Shelby and Nancy Mary Lewis.
Jarvis is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Julia Ann Bailey and sister in law, Madge Black.
Jarvis was a member of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church. He served in the Army and Army Reserves for a total of four years. Jarvis enjoyed hunting, fishing and horses.
He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Joy Lewis; children, Carol Anders, Chris Lewis (Kelly), Paul Lewis and Stacey Lewis (Teresa); six grandchildren; eight great grandchildren and one sister, Shirley Lewis.
Visitation will be 9:00 AM, Wednesday, November 18, 2020 at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church. Funeral Services will be 10:00 AM, November 18, 2020 at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Jolley Cemetery under the direction of Perry’s Funeral Chapels.
