Raymond C. Smith, 79, of Imboden, AR., passed away Saturday Aug. 4, 2012, at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro.

Born May 29, 1933m in Denton, AR., son of Grundy and Nellie McClead Smith.

He was a Veteran of the Korean War serving in the US Army. He retired from Cotta Transmission in Rockford, IL as a Maintenance man. He was also a member of the 1st Baptist Church in Imboden.

He is preceded in death by his parents; four brothers and four sisters.

Survivors include is wife, Jean of the home; three sons, Raymond (Kim) Smith of Chesney Park, IL; Brian (Rose) Smith and Darrell (Kim) Smith all of Rockford, IL; two daughters, Rhonda (Dan) Sedols of Rockford, IL and Renee (Mark) Montgomery of Rutland, IL; twelve grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.

Burial was in Old Bethel Cemetery. Arrangments were by Bryan Funeral Home.

Iva Jean Smith, 87 of Rockford, IL passed away January 9, 2023, at her residence.

Born August 30, 1935, in Hinton, OK, daughter of the late Otis Lee and Neva Marie Hamilton Smith Sr. She was united in marriage to Raymond C. Smith on September 12, 1959. She worked for Quality Toys in Rockford, a Nurses Aid, and enjoyed volunteering at the Elementary Schools in Imboden and at the Church. She was a member of Rock Church in Rockford.

In addition to her parents, she is also preceded by her husband, Raymond C. Smith, four sisters, and a brother.

Survivors include her children, Raymond C. (Lynn) Smith of the Philippines, Brian N. Smith, Darryl S. (Kim) Smith, Rhonda J. (Daniel) Sedols, Renee (Mark) Montgomery, and a Special Daughter, Janet Anderson, all of Rockford; thirteen grandchildren; twenty-one great grandchildren; a brother, Clement V. Smith of Wisconsin; a sister, Loretta Mays of Illinois; and many other relatives and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held in the Spring; in Rockford, IL.

Private family burial will take place in the Old Bethel Cemetery near Black Rock.
