October 17, 1939 - November 28, 2021
Doris Lee Smith, 82 of Tyronza, passed away November 28, 2021; at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro.
Born October 17, 1939; in Walnut Ridge; son of the late, Booker Leroy and Pansy Melton Smith. Doris was united in marriage to Linnie Lee Cantwell on July 7, 1964. He was a Bus Driver for the Marked Tree School District and later in life worked for the Senior Center in Marked Tree. He enjoyed Dancing, riding bikes, helping others and he was of the Baptist faith.
He is preceded by his parents; his wife, Linnie; one son, Patrick Smith; one daughter, Marie Carroll; two sisters, Darlene Stephens and Murline Wesson; two brothers, Harold and Preston Smith.
Survivors include his two sons, Christopher Lee (Teresa) Smith and Lirla (Crystle) Smith all of Tyronza; two daughters, Mary Joann (Kevin) Skipper of Tyronza and Lisa (Kevin) Coats of Marked Tree; son-n-law, Tony Carroll of Tyronza; nine grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; one sister, Dathine (Sonny) Jones of Tyronza; and many other relatives and friends.
Graveside service will be Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at 1 P.M. in the Lawrence Memorial Park with Bro. Rick Kimery officiating. Pallbearers will be his grandchildren.
Visitation will Tuesday from 11 A.M. till 12:30 A.M.
