Lela Leona Flowers, age 97, of Center Ridge, Arkansas, passed away Monday, May 26, 2014. She was born March 10, 1917, in Center Ridge, a daughter of the late William Hathway Flowers and the late Nancy Jane Carr Flowers. Lela was married 67 years to the late Marvin Flowers, a housewife and a member of the Pleasant Springs Missionary Baptist Church.

She is survived by her daughter: Bennie (Lyle) Wilson; granddaughter: Shelia (Rick) Beck; two great-grandchildren: Austin and Madison Beck; all of Center Ridge; sister: Ruby Howard of Morrilton; brother: Dean Flowers of Center Ridge; and sister-in-law: Billie Faye Hill of Solgohachia. She was preceded in death by her husband Marvin Flowers; sisters: Ethel Hall, Edith Lovell Jones and Shelby Jean Flowers; brothers: Irple Flowers, Loyd Flowers and Amos Flowers; and sister-in-law: Zona McNew.

A Celebration of her life will be held 10 a.m. Friday, May 30, 2014 at the Harris Chapel with Bro. Doyle Glass officiating. Burial will be at Pleasant Hill Cemetery by Harris Funeral Homes of Morrilton. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Thursday, at the funeral home. Online guestbook: www.harrisfuneralhomes.net.
