David Lynn Flowers, age 66, passed away Tuesday, January 10th. He was born on November 11, 1950 in the Sunnyside Community of Center Ridge, AR, to Nettie Lee Adams Flowers and the late James Hulon Flowers.
David was a gifted piano player and began playing in his church when he was young. He was self –taught and played by ear. He once said, “If you can sing it, I can play it.” His music filled the hearts of everyone who heard it. He loved his family and was a devoted caregiver to his mother for many years.
David was a kind, gentle person who was loved by his family and will deeply be missed.
He is preceded in death by his father, grandparents, aunts, uncles and many friends and family.
David is survived by his faithful and devoted wife of 46 years, Sandra Mooney Flowers, his beloved son: Randy Lynn Flowers of Center Ridge; his mother, two brothers and their wives, Jimmy Don and Pat Flowers of Center Ridge and Mark and Joyce Flowers of Cleveland; Aunt and Uncle: Ila and Don Shockley of Little Rock, loving nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends and family.
Visitation will be Thursday, January 12, 2017 from 6 to 8PM at the funeral home chapel.
Services will be 10AM Friday, at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Center Ridge with Bro. Lonnie Olds officiating.
Pallbearers will be Thomas Anthony Flowers, Ronnie Chapman, Jessie Carroll, John Carroll, Joe Carroll and Herman Carroll.
