SPRINGDALE — Bill L. Jones, 64, of Springdale, Ark., passed away Sunday, July 29, 2012, at his home. He was born Oct. 5, 1947, in Kansas, to parents Imon Jones and Murtha (Lawson) Jones. He was an auto and marine mechanic, a member of Christ Lighthouse in Huntsville, Ark., and a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam Conflict.
Bill was preceded in death by two brothers, Bruce and Bobby Jones.
Bill is survived by his wife Susan L. Jones, of the home in Springdale, son, Mitchell W. Jones, of Springdale, Ark., daughter, Misty K. Jones, of Springdale, Ark., sister, Barbara Lee and husband, Bob, of Prairie Grove, Ark., and a grandson, Austin Jones of Springdale, Ark.
Visitation is Tuesday, July 31, 2012, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Nelson-Berna Funeral Home.
Funeral services are 10 a.m., Wednesday, Aug. 1, 2012, at Nelson-Berna Funeral Home Chapel, Fayetteville, Ark., with Pastor Les Fletcher officiating. Burial will follow in Zion Cemetery, Fayetteville, Ark.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project 4899 Belfort Road Suite 300 Jacksonville, FL 32256.
