Elizabeth Lee "Betty" Jones, 85, of Fayetteville died Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2006, at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville.

She was born Aug. 9, 1920, in West Frankfort, Ill., the daughter of Don C. and Ruth Louise Campbell Jones. She was preceded in death by a brother, Billie C. Jones.

Having moved to Elkins with her parents in the 1940s, Betty enjoyed the life of a farm girl. She was a member of Sulphur City Baptist Church.

She is survived by cousins, J. Robert Green of St. Louis, Mo,. Jerry Green and his wife Janet, children and grandchildren of Kansas City, Mo., Judith Arnett, children and grandchildren of Seattle, Ginny Peyton and her husband Steve of Fayetteville; lifelong friends, John and Janet Kimbel and their children of Elkins, and many other cousins and friends.

Please join us in the celebration of her life and her ascensicn to the house of the Lord.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 28 at Moore's Chapel in Fayetteville.

The Rev. Steve Sheely will officiate.

Burial will be in McCord Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m until service time Saturday at Moore's.
