L.L. "Pappy" Jones, 89, of Fayetteville, died Sept. 28, 1993, at his home. Born Sept. 4, 1904, at St. Paul, the son of George Washington and Nancy Hammonds Jones, he was an employee of Farmers Co-Operative in Fayetteville from the early 1950s to the late 1970s, He was a longtime member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Fayetteville. He was the husband of Mittie Bell Standley Jones, who died in 1978.

Survivors are two sons, Joe Jones of St. Paul and David Jones of Fayetteville; five daughters, Marguerite Hutchinson of St. Paul, Vivian Johnson of Kansas City, Mo., Jeannie Glasgo of Little Rock, Berthalene Moore of Farmington and Willene Stapleton of Atlanta, Ga.; 19 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Moore's Chapel with the Rev. Terrel Gordon officiating. Burial will be in Brentwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Friends of Hospice, c/o Washington Regional Medical Center, 1125 N. College Ave., Fayetteville. Ark. 72703.

Mrs. Mittie Belle Standley Jones, 67, of Finger Road, died Thursday in a local hospital. She was born March 13, 1907 at Woolsey, the daughter of Roy B. and Nettie Hutchins Standley, and was a member of Immannel Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Lafayette L. Jones of the home; five daughters, Mrs. Marguerite Hutchinson of Elkins, Mrs. Vivian Johnson, of Kansas City, Mo., Mrs. Nettie Jean Glasgow, of Little Rock, Mrs. Berthalene Moore of Farmington and Mrs. Willene Stapleton of Platt City, Mo.; three sons, Ray Dean of Kansas City, Mo., J.C. and David, both of Fayetteville; three sisters, Mrs. Opal Ferguson, Mrs. Oral Lewis and Mrs. Mildred Torix, all of Galena, Kan.; one brother Altia Standley of Brentwood; 21 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Brentwood Church with burial under direction of Moore's Chapel in Brentwood Cemetery.
