MRS. EFFIE JONES

Mrs. Effie Jones, 67, widow of the late J.E. Jones died Friday night at 10 o'clock at her home east of town near Hewitt Springs. Funeral services were held at the home Sunday afternoon at 2:30, conducted by Rev. Ray Johnson, evangelist of the Methodist church. Special music was by the choir of Friendship church. Pallbearers were Glenn Harp, Guy Wilson, Otis Cardwell, Harry Hayes, Frank Sims and Charlie Oxford. Burial was in Friendship cemetery. Funeral arrangements were in charge of the Callison and Riggs Funeral home.

Mrs. Jones was born April 14, 1872 in Missouri and was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ples Fuzzell. Mrs. Jones is survived by three sons, Claude and Clair of Springdale, and Hugh Jones of Murphy, Oregon; also by three brothers and three sisters. The brothers are Joe and Walter Fuzzell of Norman, Okla. and Gary of Lexington, Okla.; and the sisters are Mrs. George Farley of Norman, Mrs. Mary Munch of Philadelphia and Mrs. Jake Hobart of Noble, Okla.; also by 15 grandchildren.

Mrs. Jones was one of the charter members of the Friendship Cemetery association and was also a member of the Friendship Community club and was always interested and active in civic improvement.
