PEA RIDGE — Jimmy Ray Woods, 79, of Pea Ridge died Friday, May 2, 2014, at his home. He was born Sept. 23, 1934, at Pea Ridge to Raymond Woods and Ruth Edna Stroud Woods.

He married Wynona Mills June 17, 1952, at Bentonville. He served in the US. Army in special forces from 1954-1956. He was employed by American Airlines as an electrician for 29 years and received the lifetime meritorious service award. He loved to travel, golf, hunt, look for antiques, repair and fix things, and help others.

He was a Protestant, and is preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors are his wife, Wynona Woods of the home; two sons, Donald Lee Woods and wife, Carey, of Cabot, Ark., and Michael Ray Woods of Rogers; three grandchildren, Ruth Hayes and husband, Jonathon, of Bauxite, Ark., Russell Lee Woods and wife, Laura, of Rogers, and Josef Woods of Rogers; one great-grandson, Cooper Hayes of Bauxite, Ark.; and his constant companions, Lucas and Charlie Jr.

Visitation is set for Saturday, May 10, noon-2 p.m. at Sisco Funeral Home Chapel in Pea Ridge, with the service following at 2 p.m. Burial will be at Pea Ridge Cemetery.
