Funeral services for Carl Homer Woods, aged 40 years, nine months and two days, former Benton County resident and son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Azor Woods, who at the time lived a few miles east of Bentonville in the Little Flock community, who died at his home in Neosho, Mo. at 3:30 o'clock Saturday morning, January 7th, 1933 from pneumonia, were held at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon at the Mount Pleasant church, near Hiwasse, conducted by Elder Oliver Koons of Little Flock. Interment was in the Mount Pleasant cemetery. Short services were also held at Neosho at 11:45 Monday morning at the Bingham Funeral Home, attended by many Neosho friends of the deceased and by relatives who had been called there by his death. Besides his wife, Mrs. Isabel Woods, he is survived by one daughter and four sons - Dorothy, aged 14; Chas. Homer, 12; Eldon, seven; Irven, five amd Elvin D. two; He is also survived by three sisters and five brothers - Mrs. Pearl Lambeth, Wichita, Kansas; Mrs. Armenia Bates and Mrs. Letha Cowgur, both of Hiwasse; Frank W. Woods, Neosho, Mo; Geo. H. Woods, Lynn Haven, Fla.; Elbert P. Woods and Will Woods, both of Hiwasse; and S. D. Woods, Sulphur Springs, Ark. All were present for the funeral except Geo. H. Woods whose home is too far away to have allowed him to get here in time for the services. Mrs. Dora Bell Lambeth of Wichita, Kansas, his oldest sister, preceded him in death by over two years.

(from Southside Hiwasse) Curly Woods, as he was known in this community, died at his home in Neosho the last of the week and was buried at Mt. Pleasant Monday. Mr. Woods was a brother of Elbert and Willie Woods who live southeast of town and was reared in this vicinity.
