Ernest William "Bill" Parson, 82, of 702 North Gaskill Street, Huntsville, Ark., died April 2, 1990, at his home. He was born June 14, 1907, at Loy, Ark., the son of Ray and Eliza Whorton Parson. He was a retired employee of the Street Department of Fullerton, Calif., a Baptist, and a member of the National Farmers Organization.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Ruth Dotson Parson of the home; two sons, Truman Parson and Raymond Parson, both of Huntsville; five brothers, Jesse J. Parson of Spring Valley, Ark., Garland Parson, Hugh Parson, Ewell Parson and Quenton Parson, all of Huntsville; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Services were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 4, in the chapel of Brashears Funeral Home with the Rev. Michael Gordon and the Rev. Bud Pulley officiating. Interment was in the Huntsville Cemetery under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Larry Bates, Gary Parson, Mark Parson, H.L. Parson, Greg Parson and J.C. Parson. Honorary pallbearers were Larry Coger, Howard Bolinger, T.B. Lyman, Bobby Parker, Orba Youngblood, and Ewell Dotson.

Ruth Marie Parson, 76, of 702 North Gaskill St., Huntsville, Ark., died March 26, 1991, at the Huntsville Memorial Hospital. She was born Oct. 9, 1914, at Whorton Creek, Ark., the daughter of Oliver Burton and Kate Jones Dotson. She was a retired seamstress and a member of the Missionary Baptist Church. She was the widow of Ernest William "Bill" Parson, who preceded her in death on April 2, 1990. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, and one grandson.
Survivors include two sons, Truman Parson and Raymon Parson, both of Huntsville; one brother, Ewell Dotson of Huntsville; one sister, Mrs. Zelma Youngblood of Huntsville; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 28, in the chapel of Brashears Funeral Home with the Rev. Bud Pulley, the Rev. Dewey Mott and the Rev. Michael Gordon officiating. Interment will be in the Huntsville Cemetery under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home.
