Sam H. Parson, 82, of Route 4, Box 72, Huntsville died Aug. 23, 1997, at Springdale Nursing Center in Springdale. He was born April 5, 1915 at Wharton, Ark., the son of Homer Lincoln and Bertha Phillips Parson. He was a farmer and a member of the Marble United Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Norma Beasley Parson, in 1939; one son, Sam Max Parson, in 1956; and five brothers.
Survivors include two sons, H.L. Parson of Lowell and Alfred Parson of Springdale; three brothers, Everett Parson of Upland, Calif., Lee Parson of Moore, Okla., and Henry F. Parson of Springdale; one sister, Mrs. Ruby Elam of Hood River, Ore.; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Services were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 26, in the chapel of Brashears Funeral Home with the Rev. Butch Bolinger officiating. Interment was in Huntsville Cemetery under the direction Brashears Funeral Home. Pallbearers were nephews.
