Quinton Parson, 85, of Huntsville died on Aug. 5, 2010, at his home. He was born Nov. 19, 1924, at Loy, the son of Ray W. and Eliza Whorton Parson. He was the retired owner and operator of Huntsville Appliance and a Veteran of World War II, serving in the Army Air Corps. He was a member of Faith Southern Baptist Church and Hayes-Smith Post #137, American Legion, all in Huntsville. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda Faye Kisor Parson on June 17, 2010. He was also preceded in death by one son, Terry Lynn Parson; one son-in-law, Dennis Spurlock; five brothers, Herbert parson, Garland Parson, Carl Parson, William Parson and Jesse Parson; and by one sister, Irene Easterling.
Survivors include two daughters and one son-in-law, Carla Spurlock of Huntsville and Cathy Foraker and Mick Maggi, of Fayetteville; two brothers, Ewell Parson and Hugh Parson, both of Huntsville; three grandsons and two granddaughters-in-law, Tyler Parson and Ernie and Amanda Spurlock, all of Springdale and Harry and Kari Spurlock of Hindsville; two granddaughters and one grandson-in-law, Denise and Joey McNeely of Huntsville, and Kerry Spurlock of Fayetteville; one great-grandson Kalami McNeely of Huntsville; and four great-granddaughters, Claire Spurlock and Laney Spurlock, both of Springdale; Katelyn Spurlock and Quinn Spurlock, both of Hindsville.
Funeral services were held on Aug. 7 in the chapel of Brashears Funeral Home with Reverend George Adkins officiating. Interment was in the Huntsville Cemetery under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Harry Spurlock, Ernie Spurlock, Tyler Parson, Joey McNeely, Mick Maggi and Dwight Steele.

Wanda Faye Parson, 79, of Huntsville died June 17, 2010, at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville. She was born Nov. 3, 1930, in Japton to Felix David and Ella Rose Counts Kisor.
She was a homemaker and a member of Faith Southern Baptist Church in Huntsville.
Survivors include her husband, Quinton Parson; two daughters, Carla Spurlock of Huntsville, and Cathy Foraker and husband Mick Maggi of Fayetteville; four brothers, including Bill Kisor and Bob Kisor, both of Fayetteville; a sister; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Brashears Funeral Home in Huntsville.
Burial will be in Huntsville Cemetery
