Volta L. Beavers, 86, of Norfork passed away Wednesday, July 23, 2008, at Calico Rock Medical Center. A graveside service will be 10AM Saturday at Burnt Schoolhouse Cemetery in Lone Rock. Visitation is noon to 9PM Friday at Roller Funeral Home, with family receiving friends from 6-8PM.
She was born March 10, 1922, in Martin Springs to Mitchell and Clara Boyd Payne. She was loved by many of her church and community. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
Volta is survived by her three children, Paul Beavers, Ellen (Michael) Becker and Lynn (Jone) Beavers, all of Norfork; one sister; one brother; eight grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; and long-time friend and care provider, Donald Hurst of Lone Rock. She was preceded in death by her husband, Claude Beavers; two brothers; one sister and a daughter-in-law. Arrangements are by Roller Funeral Home.
