Killed at a Dance
At a dance near the little town of Winerva, 12 miles down the river from Cotter, last Saturday night a man named Anderson struck Joe Beavers on the head with a rock inflicting injuries from which Beavers died Sunday morning. Beavers was about 18 years of age and it is said was well thought of. Both parties had been drinking and in a general fight Beavers was hurt as stated. Anderson made his escape and at last account had not been found.
