HALL, W.A. - W.A. Hall died Sunday morning at 9:30 o'clock at his home in this city. Mr. Hall had been a helpless invalid for nearly one and a half years, the result of a stroke of paralysis received while in Texas on a business trip. During most of this period he was bedfast or helpless and only a few times was he able to get outside the yard. For the past month or two he had been unable to take nourishment and had been steadily growing weaker until death came to relieve him of his sufferings. Funeral services were held Monday morning at ten o'clock at the Baptist church and were conducted by Rev. Jordan. A large number of friends and relatives were present. Mr. Hall was born October 18, 1858 near Pea Ridge and the greater part of his life was spent in that neighborhood. November 6, 1884 he was married to Miss Emma Walker of Lowell, a sister of Wythe and Calvin Walker of Rogers. To them were born five children - Mrs. Frank Owens of Rogers and four boys, Walter, Oscar, Willie and Ross. Mr. Hall's mother lives at Pea Ridge and he has three brothers there and one at Seligman. It was eight years ago that Mr. Hall came to Rogers from Pea Ridge and for some time was engaged in the dry goods business. He was a member of the Baptist church. Mr. Hall stood high in the esteem of his friends and acquaintances as a man of integrity and honesty and his quiet, unobtrusive manner made him respected by all. The Democrat joins with the many friends in extending deepest sympathy to the bereaved wife and children.
