HALL, Jasper Buchanan - Died, at his residence on Pea Ridge, Ark., Dec. 25, 1903, Jasper Buchanan Hall, in the thirty-sixth year of his age. Brother Hall was born on Pea Ridge January 16th, 1867. He was married to Miss Minnie Webb and to them was born a son, now old enough to be of material help and great comfort to his bereaved mother. Bro. Hall professed faith in Christ as his personal Savior when only a boy; but in after years fell into doubts and by unbelieving companions was led away from the paths of Christian duty and of Christian growth and comfort. However, several years before his death he was reclaimed from his wanderings, returned to the blessed Christ and to the sweet communion and fellowship enjoyed by all those who put their trust in Him. For many long years he was never without affliction and pain; he is now beyond everything of the kind and is at rest. Many of his friends and acquaintances attended the funeral service held by the writer in the church where he had often been carried in his mother's arms in his infancy and where he had been accustomed to meet with God's people through the whole of his life. After the service at the church the remains were followed by the Masonic brethren to the family burying ground where, according to the custom and ceremonies, they were placed in the grave to await the will of Him who is "the resurrection and the life." The whole community join in deepest sympathy with the disconsolate widow and dear little boy. May the blessings of Him who has promised to be a "husband to the widow and father to the fatherless" rest upon them. P. Carnahan, Pastor.
