HALL, Sarah Ann MONG - Died Jan. 2nd at her home in Bentonville, Ark., Mrs. Sarah Ann Hall {nee Mong} in the 73rd year of her life. The deceased was born in Stark Co., Ohio Oct. the 10th, 1839. In her early youth she accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her personal Savior and united with the Methodist church. In July 1864 she was married to N.H. Hall. To this union were born eight children. Three sons, E.B. Hall of Springfield, Mo.; Will A. Hall of Memphis, Tenn.; Samuel C. Hall of Chicago, Ill. and two daughters, Mrs. P.M. Moore of Knoxville, Iowa and Mrs. G.C. Kindley of Bentonville survive her. After her marriage, to be in the same church with her husband, she united with the Presbyterian church at Sigourney, Iowa. Her membership was in the Presbyterian church at the time of her death. For more than twenty years she lived and labored in our midst, zealous for the best interests of the Master's cause and the community. Her intellectual attainments, her social culture and her christian spirit made her a most companionable friend and neighbor. To the afflicted, the suffering and the sorrowing she extended a helping hand, moved by a sympathetic heart. Many friends and acquaintances, from the city and the country, attended the funeral service at the home, held by the writer, assisted by Bros. Taylor and Johnston, thus manifesting their high regard for the deceased and their sympathy for the bereft and sorrowing family. The remains were laid to rest in the city cemetery. P. Carnahan.
