Mrs. Lily Moore Jones, 74, of 841 Crestwood, died Saturday night in the Ouachita Hospital following a brief illness. Mrs. Jones was the widow of Charlie H. Jones and well known in Camden. She was born in Heber Springs to Josephine Johnson Moore and J.R.B. Moore. She came to Camden over fifty years ago with her husband shortly after their marriage. Mrs. Jones was an active member of the First Baptist Church and of the Dahlia Garden Club. She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Victor Logan of Mobile, Alabama, Mrs. Thomas Mosley of Kansas City, Mo., and Mrs. Charles Coates of Houston, Texas; one sister, Mrs. Howlett Pope of Camden; one brother, W. B. Moore of Rosman, North Carolina; three grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Funeral services were held today at First Baptist Church at 2:30 p.m. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery with Proctors in charge of arrangements. (Camden News - November 10, 1969)
