November 24, 1931 - March 26, 2019
Richard Wendal Jones, 87, of Bearden, AR passed away Tuesday, March 26, 2019 in Greenwood, AR. Mr. Jones served in the National Guard. He is preceded in death by his wife, Pat Lindsey Jones of 42 years, parents, Richard Otis Jones and Mamie Evelyn Taylor, son, James Michael Jones and sisters, Dorothy Williams (Dick) and Virginia Launius (Ferrell).
Mr. Jones is survived by his sons, Charles Jones and wife, Tammy of Greenwood, AR and Kenneth Jones and wife, Dianne of El Dorado, AR; brother, H.C. Jones and wife, Martha Jean of Thornton, AR; grandchildren, Melanie Logsdon Jones of Greenwood, AR, Charles (C. J.) Jones of Warrensburg, MO, Gabrial Jones of Greenwood, AR, Kyle Jones and wife, Ashton of Hot Springs, AR, Lauren Jones of Little Rock, AR, Kim Kinslow and husband, Kory of Greenwood, AR; great-grandchildren, Hannah, Bailey, and Evan Jones of Hot Springs, AR and Rylee and Eden Logsdon of Greenwood, AR and special friend, Shirley York.
Visitation will be held 10:00 AM until 11:30 AM Monday, April 1, 2019 at Proctor Funeral Home with graveside service to follow the visitation. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery with Reverend Steve Fleming officiating. Pallbearers: Kyle Jones, Charles (C.J.) Jones, Rylee Logsdon, Tony Lindsey, Steve Ethridge and John Jones. Honorary Pallbearers: Terry Launius, Wimp Pennington, H.C. Jones, Larry Graham, Abel Rensendiz and Ernie Horstkamp.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, P. O. Box 841125, Dallas, TX 75284-1125
