Son of William Stewart Jones and Mary Ella Chambliss
Alvin Clay Jones, aged 50, of Denver, formerly of Bearden, died Sunday. Survivors include three sons, Dwain and Harrison S. Jones, both of Bearden and Dennis G. Jones of Oklahoma; three daughters, Mrs. John B. Dickens of California, Mrs. Bobby Turner of Texas and Miss Phylis Jones of Bearden; two brothers, Carl Jones of Alabama and Cecil Jones of El Dorado; his stepmother, Mrs. Banner Jones of Locust Bayou and six grand children. Funeral will be at the Salem Cemetery by Proctor Funeral Service. (Camden News - January 1, 1968)
