April 28, 1871 - April 26, 1936
Funeral services for Mrs. J.L. JONES, well-known Ouachita County resident, were
held at the First Baptist Church here at 3:00 p.m. Monday. Mrs. Jones died
Sunday afternoon. She has many friends throughout this area. Active
pallbearers were Abner Fogle, Milos Reynolds, Howard Clayton of Arkansas City,
Britt Moore, Bob Runnels, Herman McMahon, Curtis Morgan and Holmes Greer.
Honorary pallbearers were Jay Newton, Willie Patton Matthews, Will Barnes, Watt
Jordan, W.H. Reynolds of El Dorado, Arthur Ellis, Bob Shelton, Jim Usrey, Walter
Fincher, Leonard Powell, L.B. Smead, Eugene Fearing, W.M. Shaw and J.W. Hecker.
Mrs. Jones is survived by her husband, three daughters, one brother John Wood of
Camden and several grandchildren.
