Jeffery Services Held Friday
Roberta Lee Jeffery, daughter of the late Augustus and Eliza Dixon was born near Mt. Olive in Izard County, October 10, 1870 and died October 10, 1956 at the North Arkansas Clinic in Batesville. She was 86 years of age. She had been a member of the Presbyterian Church since the age of 12. On November 9, 1890 she was married to Phillip Lee Jeffery, who died in 1932. To this union four children were born. Two preceded her in death. Survivors include Roy Jeffery of Batesville, Mrs Helen Parker of Los Angeles, Calif.; three grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs Willie Powell of Thayer, Mo.; and a host of other relatives. Funeral services were held October 12 at Mt. Olive with Rev. Franklin Chesnut officiating.
