Boyce M. Jeffery of Mt. Olive, Arkansas
Boyce M. Jeffery, son of the late Finis A. "Bodie" Jeffery and Margueritta Genieve Allard Jeffery, was born March 21, 1940 in Mt. Olive, Arkansas. He departed this life December 30, 2013 at his home in Mt. Olive, Arkansas at the age of 73 years, 9 months and 9 days. He was united in marriage to Mary Beth Walls on June 8, 1967 in Benton, Arkansas and to this union two children were born. Boyce served in the United States Army during the Viet Nam War. He spent his life as a son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, provider and friend. He was an avid outdoors man who especially enjoyed deer hunting and fishing. He was described as a "jack of all trades"; working as a teacher, commercial and residential carpenter and truck driver. He was a member and an elder of Mt. Olive Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years: Mary Beth Jeffery of the home; one son: Boyce Cameron Jeffery of Conway; one daughter: Lauren Sullins of Rogers; two brothers: Noel Jeffery of Melbourne and Jerry Jeffery of Batesville; one sister: Angela Kyzer of Camp, Arkansas; three grandchildren: Garrett Sullins, Caleb Sullins and Jacob Sullins and a host of other relatives and many good friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers: Bill Jeffery and Jim Jeffery.
Funeral service will be Thursday, January 2, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Mt. Olive Cumberland Presbyterian Church with Stan Mars and Toppy Owens officiating. Burial will be at Mt. Olive Cemetery under the direction of Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Melbourne. Visitation will be Wednesday, January 1 from 6-8 p.m.
Pallbearers: Scott Jeffery, Garrett Sullins, Caleb Sullins, Jacob Sullins, Donnie Walls and Bryon Dugger.
