Johnny Lloyd Jeffery died suddenly with a heart attack while working on a house. Johnny was born Dec. 18, 1903 and departed his life Aug. 2, 1962 at the age of 58 years, 7 months, 15 days. He was born and spent his entire life in Izard County. He was a farmer and carpenter. Johnny is the son of the late J.E. (Uncle Joe) and Marette Jeffery. He is survived by his wife, Nora of the home; one son, Lloyd Jeffery; two grandchildren, Renie and Randy; five brothers, Willie of Melbourne, Martin of Calico Rock,AR, Cecil of Wenatchee, WA, Leslie of Moxie City, WA, Otto of Wichita, KA; four sisters, Mellie Richardson of Wichita, KA, Julia Underwood of Garden City, KA, Dovie Rhoden of Judsonia, AR, Marie Musgrove of Winslow, AZ, a lot of nieces and nephews and a host of friends and relatives. Funeral was at the Melbourne Baptist Church, Sat., Aug. 4 at 2 p.m. with Bro. Hugh Cooper and Bro. Remmell Rowden officiating. Interment was at the Combs Cemetery under the direction of Davies Batesville Funeral Home, Batesville, AR. Pallbearers were: Joe Campbell, Weldon Campbell, Wayburn Watson, G.H. Miller, Jr., Burt Tate and Ernest Wood.
