Carl L. Banks

BENTONVILLE Carl L. Banks, 83, of Bentonville died Tuesday at Bentonville Manor Nursing Home. He was born November 1, 1912, in Hiwasse to Homer Banks and Nancy Elizabeth Burnett Banks. He came to Bentonville in 1933 to work for his father in his grocery store and later he and his brother owned and operated Banks Ford Sales. He was a member of the First Christian Church in Bentonville.

Survivors include his wife, Hazel Horton Banks of the home; one daughter, Linda Chick of Bentonville; two brothers, Curt Banks of Overland Park, Kan., and Harold Banks of Bentonville; three grandchildren.

Services are to be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Callison-Lough Funeral Chapel in Bentonville, with Dr. Don White and the Rev. Gary L. Hagen officiating. Burial will be in Bentonville Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the First Christian Church of Bentonville.
