Wife of Mal L Banks
*Obituary
Benton County Democrat
Thursday, November 24, 1898
BANKS, Mrs. M.L. (STROUD) -On Nov. 15, 1898 the Death Angel came to the home of Bro. M.L. Banks and took his dear wife. Sister Banks' maiden name was Stroud. She was born July 25, 1837. She obeyed the gospel in her sixteenth year; was baptized by Bro. Nix Murphy in Warren county, Tennessee. She was married Nov. 14, 1854. Ten children were the fruits of this union. Two died in childhood; four sons and four daughters were at her bedside during her sickness and did all they could for dear mother. To her husband she was a wife, true noble and self-sacrificing. To her children she was a mother indeed. To friends she was a friend to the end. No sacrifice was too great for her love, no duty too small to receive her performance. H.L. Wilson, Pea Ridge, Ark.
