Obituary
Mrs. Pearl Harber, of Flat Rock Community, wife of Clyde L. Harber, was called by death Sunday morning, Oct 8, 1933, after an illness of several weeks.
Mrs. Harber was 34 years of age. She was born near Flat Rock, Izard County, Oct 28, 1898, her parents being Mr. and Mrs. W. T. Langston both of whom survive.
She was happily married to Clyde L. Harber and to this union was born four children.
We feel that to much good cannot be said about her. Her pleasant smile and willing hand to help anyone in need won her a host of admiring friends and neighbors. She was a good wife and mother, ever looking well to the ways of her household. Her pure, gentle spirit is now free from all sorrow, pain and tears. She is now enjoying that blissful clime with Curtis who preceded his mother about two years. She gave of her strength to the fullest degree for the comfort and happiness of her family. We surely miss her.
The news of the death of this good woman brought many expressions of sympathy for the family and relatives as she was known as a most valuable person, a devout Christian and a treasured wife and mother. No person of the community was more universally liked and respected that she was. She was cheerful and kind, possessing those noble traits that endeared her to all who knew her and made her a true Christian character.
The funeral was held at the Flat Rock Church at 2 p.m., Monday, the services being conducted by the Rev. J. T. Byrd, pastor of the Methodist Church at Calico Rock. The Church was filled with the host of friends and relatives who paid their last respects to this good woman. The body was laid to rest in the Flat Rock Cemetery and the many floral Tributes received from many friends of the family testified to the high esteem in which she was held.
Besides her husband, she is survived by three children, Kathryn, Vernon and infant baby, also her father, mother, one sister and two brothers.
