The Baxter Bulletin
Michael William Dickerson was killed when a motorcycle struck him.
State Trooper Shay Bachtal said the boy was walking home from school when he crossed the street in front of a 1973 Yamaha 175 motorcycle driven by Randy Adams, 15, of Mt Home. No injuries were reported by Adams or a passenger on the motorcycle, Shelley Juers, 13, also of Mt Home.
First aid was administered at the scene by Lottie Henson, an emergency medical technician and the boy was taken to Baxter General Hospital. An attendant at the hospital said he died at the facility.
Witnesses said several children were walking in the street and Adams said he blew the bike's horn as he approached them. No charges have been filed, Bachtel said.
