Funeral services for Robert Oliver Dickerson, 67, of Norfork Star Route were held at 2PM Monday at the Norfork Baptist Church with Rev. O.I. Ford of Mt. Home and Rev. John Evans of Norfork officicting. Interment was in the Galatia Cemetery with the McClure Srvice in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Dickerson, a native of Baxter County, died Thursday, May 14, at his residence in the Culp community south of White River.
The son of Geroge Dickerson and Bertis Bratton Dickerson, he was born Dec 28, 1896, at Mt. Home and was a lifetime resident of this county. He was a retired farmer and a member of the Norfork Baptist Chruch.
Surviving him are his wife, Mrs. Ethel Dickerson, of Norfork; five sons, Dwane, stationed in the Philippine Islands with the US Army, Bryan, Tommy, Sammy and Ray Dickerson, all of Norfork; eight daughters, Mrs. Elsie Wicoff of Poplar Bluff, MO, Mrs. Vertis Morgan and Mrs. Inez Riley, both of Leachville, Mrs. Beatrice Hudgens of Flint, MI, Mrs Lela Jones of Wynne and Ina Lou, Mary and Earnesteen Dickerson all of Norfork; 12 grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Elsie Parnell of Norfork and a brother, Eddie Dickerson of Norfork.
Pallbearers wer Emmett Edmonds, Ed Pinkston, Vero Hall, Gene Horn, Carl Sheid, and W.S. Benbrook.
