A Calico Rock man, Roy G. Dickerson, 22, was killed when the tractor-trailer truck he was driving on Arkansas 9 went off the road and overturned, state police said. Dickerson was thrown from the vehicle.
The trailer was loaded with logs, which fell off the truck and rolled over Dickerson, state police said.

Roy Gene Dickerson of Jordan died Tuesday (Dec 15, 1998). He was 22.
Mr. Dickerson was born Dec 23, 1975, at Calico Rock, a son of Roy Lee and Virginia Watson Dickerson. He married the former Christy Kirby June 20, 1998, at Mt. View.
He is survived by his wife, Christy Dickerson of Jordan; father and step mother, Roy and Belinda Dickerson of Dolph; his mother, Virginia Dickerson of Jordan; two brothers, Jerry Thomas Dickerson, and Darrel Gene Dickerson, both of Dolph; and grandmother, Ardith Dickerson. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ples Dickerson, and Mary May and Everett Watson, one uncle and one aunt.
Services were 10AM Thursday at Galatia Church in Old Joe with Bro. Rick Engles officiating. Burial was in Galatia Cemetery under the direction of Howard Funeral Home of Melbourne. Pallbearers incluced Robert Cox, Tim Ellenbaugh, Derrick Simmons, Randy Loosey, Roy Staggs and Earl Freeman. Honorary pallbearers were Lloyd Loosey and Jeffery Teegarden.
