Graveside services for 48-year-old Roy Lee Dickerson of Dolph will be at 2PM today at Galatia Cemetery at Old Joe with Bob Cox officiating. Mr. Dickerson died Tuesday (April 25, 2000).
He was born Jan 26, 1952, at Bull Shoals to Ples and Ardith Loosey Dickerson. Mr. Dickerson was in the logging business. He was a board member of Rodney Fire Department and a member of the Adams Masonic Lodge 164 F&AM.
He is survived by his mother Ardith Dickerson of Jordan; his wife, Belinda Simmons of Dolph; three sons, Jerry Dickerson, Darrell Dickerson and Derick Simmons, all of Dolph; one daughter, Kristine Simmons of Dolph; two brothers, J.E. Dickerson of Dolph and Buddy Henderson of Oxford; and four grandchildren, Brttany Dickerson, Luke Dickerson, Cheyenne Dickerson and Makayla Simmons, all of Dolph.
Mr. Dickerson was preceded in death by one son, Roy Gene Dickerson; his father, Ples Dickerson; and one brother, Thomas Dickerson.
Pallbearers will be Derrick Simmons, Bill Hargett, Randy Loosey, Harvey Loosey, Lloyd Loosey, Tim Elumbaugh and Casey Henderson.
Arrangements are by Howard Funeral Home.
