Mrs. Nancy Albania Adams
-------------------------------
Funeral services for Mrs. Nancy Adams, who died October 16, wer held a Galatia, Tuesday afternoon and burial was in the Galatia Cemetery. She was born February 5, 1878 and came to Arkansas with her parents while a child. She married W.R. Adams on January 3, 1894 and was converted and baptized by Elder J.W. Henley in 1904. She has been a consistent Christian and her place at chruch was always filled until last Sunday when she didn't feel well enough to attend. At 1 o'clock Sunday afternoon she died of heart attack. She leaves to mourn her, her husband, four brothers, Abe, Sol, Frank and Billy Parnell, several nephews, and cousins and a host of friends. She and her husband, 'Uncle Dick', have been caretakers of the Wolf Memorial and visitors and neighbors were always met with a smile of welcome which they will miss now that she has passed on.
Funeral services were in charge of McClure Funeral Home.
(Note) The obituary about the death of Nancy Albania Parnell Adams contained numerous errors. She did not leave four brother to mourn her death, because the last of her five half brothers died in 1925. Even if the obituary was just naming her half brothers, one of them, Seth Edward Parnell, was omitted. The community news item referred to her as 'Aunt' Boe Adams. She was normally called 'Baney' or 'Bane'.
(From the files of Max Parnell.)
Several Ancestry.Com sources list her parents as John Mark and Mary Jane Lackey Parnell.
