KING, Gertrude HATFIELD - {from Larue} Gertrude Hatfield was born July 25, 1902 near Larue, Ark. and grew up in this community. She professed faith in Christ and joined the Freewill Baptist church August 1918. In December 1921 she was united in marriage to Ernest King. To this union were born three children, two of whom are living, an infant son having departed this life only a few hours before his mother. She departed this life January 8, 1929 at Kiefer, Okla. She was laid to rest in the Wishon cemetery near where she grew up. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. G.C. Bland. Besides her young husband and two children she leaves an aged mother, three sisters, five brothers and a host of friends to mourn her loss, all of whom were present at the funeral services. We wish to extend our sympathy to the family in their bereavement.
