Vergil M. King, 67, of Rogers, died Sunday at Rogers Memorial Hospital. He was born Dec. 29, 1911 at Bentonville.
He was a member of the Garfield First Baptist Church, and a self-employed mechanic.
He is survived by his wife, Edna, of the home; four sons, Raymond and Harold of Rogers, Ronnie of Russellville, and Carl of Moab, Utah; three daughters, Dorothy Tate, Louise Morris of Rogers. and Edith Langstaff of LaSal, Utah; one brother, Clarence King of Rogers; one sister, Winnie Johnson of Bentonville, 26 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday in the First Baptist Church of Garfield, with Rev. Al Hollingsworth officiating. Burial will be at Buttram's Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Callison Funeral Home of Rogers.
