DECATUR — Dalton E. "Bud" Wing, 69, of Decatur died May 8, 2000, at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Little Rock.
He was born Dec. 13, 1930, in Lake Charles, La., to Dalton Joseph and Anna Pilley Wing.
He was a crane operator and raised beef, dairy cattle and poultry. He was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War and was a retired member of the Operating Engineers Union.
He was a member of Victory Missionary Baptist Church in Gentry.
Survivors include his wife, Glenda June Hix Wing, to whom he was married Sept. 4, 1954; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Larry D. Wing of Decatur and Brent Wing and Kattie of Fayetteville; one daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl Bowman and Robert of Decatur; seven grandchildren; one brother, Thomas H. Wing of Gepp; two sisters, Aileen M. Colosky of West Lake, La., and Vera R. Mobley of Altamonte Springs, Fla.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Falling Springs Cemetery west of Decatur.
Memorial services will follow at 11 a.m. at Victory Missionary Baptist Church in Gentry with the Rev. B.R Stockton officiating.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Wasson Funeral Home in Siloam Springs.

Glenda June Wing-King, 79, years young went home to Jesus on December 25, 2016 while surrounded by her loving family. Glenda Was born in Marlow, Oklahoma to Earl and Patie Hix. On September 4, 1954 she married Dalton "Bud" Wing and made her home in Westlake, Louisiana. Glenda had four children Larry Wing, Cheryl Bowman, Gary Wing and Tony Wing. Glenda and Bud moved to Decatur in 1972 and have called this community home ever since. After Bud's passing in May of 2000 Glenda remarried to Al King of Brownsville, Tennessee. At that time she gained 4 stepdaughters, Linda Hilton, Katie Lomax, Alice Labeeb and Pam Hackerman.
Glenda is predeceased by Gary Keith Wing, Bud Wing, and Al King. She is survived by her brothers Marvin and Marion Hix, sister Aileen Colosky, her children and stepdaughters, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. Glenda enjoyed 79 years of music, family dinners, live shows, traveling, and her church family. While she will be deeply missed her family takes comfort in the knowledge she is worshiping at the feet of our savior Jesus Christ. Glenda's prayers were that all her loved one's would one day join her with her Heavenly Father.
Graveside services will be 11 a.m., Friday, December 30, 2016, at Falling Springs Cemetery, Decatur, Arkansas. A celebration service will be 11:30 a.m., Friday, December 30, 2016, at Falling Springs Church, Decatur, Arkansas. Visitation will be Thursday, December 29, 2016, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., at Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs, Arkansas. To sign the online guestbook, visit www.wassonfuneralhome.com.
