BLAND, S.M. - {from Lame} Died, S.M. Bland, at 3:40 o'clock Friday morning after an illness of ten weeks with a complication of diseases. Mr. Bland was born in Tennessee in 1849 and came to Arkansas with his parents in 1855 and has since resided in this neighborhood. He was one of our oldest and most respected citizens and was one of the few men who had no enemies. He leaves a wife and seven children and was interred in Bland Cemetery, Rev. I.T. Rice and Rev. Geo. Lynch conducting the ceremonies.
