WATTS, Okla. -- Glenn R. Bland, 74, of the Ballard Community near Watts, Died Feb. 12, 2005, in Gentry. He was born March 7, 1930, in Tulsa, Okla., to Floyd and Minnie Martin Bland. He lived in the area since 1945, moving from Oklahoma City. He was a Navy veteran.
He was a retired journeyman lineman and a member of IBEW 700 Lineman's Union in Fort Smith.
He was also owner and operator of Twice But Nice in Gentry.
He was a member of Masonic Key Lodge 7 in Siloam Springs and of the National Rifle Association.
Survivors include his wife, Marsha of Gentry; three sons, James Bland and wife Cara of McAlester,Ok.,Johnny Bland and wife Barbara of Siloam Springs, And Jeff Bland and wife Leslie of Siloam Springs; two daughters, Debbie Moore and husband Russell of Lincoln and Jeanne Ann Whitmire and husband Kent Kamm of Van Buren; ten grandchildren; two step-sons, Guy Mapes of Cleveland, Tn. and Ron Mapes of Centerton; one step-daughter, Romell Walkup of New Braunfels, Tx.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Blagg Cemetery near Siloam Springs.
Arrangements are by Wasson Funeral Home in Siloam Springs.
